So here are some photos of the back of the car. I'm six foot and I can fit in here comfortably. I just put the passenger seat forward and roll the back rest forward to create more space. I whack a cool box in the foot well of the back seat behind the passenger seat to hold up the foam mattress. Light is a bit of a problem especially in the early summer months So I will be putting some tinted film up . I have been told its a bit of a nightmare to put it up. So I will let you know how I get on. The mattress is from ikea. I can't remember what one but there are loads to choose from. I personally would get a slightly thinner one next time to give me a little more height when sitting up and moving around.
The parcel shelf at the back is very handy. You can use this space to store stuff above your feet when sleeping. It means it's like have a small double bed to yourself. it is really comfortable than being in a tent and you don't have to worry if the heavens open up and let you know you are sleeping under a thin layer of material.
I always crack the window slightly to stop condensation building up in the night. It does get hot in there and you will notice the difference with it open. I am trying to work out a way of stopping the rain from coming in when it's open. I usually just close it until it stops. It doesn't need to be open that much to let enough air in.
I have cooked in the car before but only noodles. It's not great and there is a lot of error for mistakes and accidents. Don't ever sit or lay down inside the car when cooking. The potential for accidents would be high. Avoid a trip to A&E if you can help it.
I have slept with someone next to me in the back and it's not advisable unless you are cuddling all night.
I am going to look at a way of attaching a cover to the roof bars to create some shelter when you need to cook. It's going to be based on being cheap and doesn't take up to much space. Probably the use of a tarp of some kind.
Right my friends should be arriving any time soon to get into the water for the tide to push in. Have been eriting this while waiting in my camper car at a beach in north Devon :) could of had a comfortable nap if I wanted to. Well the option was there :)

Well here it is for all you Camper Van wanna be's. I've always wanted a camper van and at a couple of points in my life was probably in a position to buy one but never did. So last year I really wanted one and in all honesty needed one. So I took the plunge
