Camper Cars are us!

Well here it is for all you Camper Van wanna be's. I've always wanted a camper van and at a couple of points in my life was probably in a position to buy one but never did. So last year I really wanted one and in all honesty needed one. So I took the plunge
and took the rear seats out of my estate car. Bought a foam mattress from Ikea. Cut out the shape of the wheel arches and hay presto! I had a comfy bed in the back of my car. Sure when i sleep at night I have move both of the front seats forward. Put a ice box in the foot well so my head has something to rest on and I am sleeping like a baby.


I surf a lot and this gives me loads of advantages. Firstly I can still get around really easily, its a car after all. I can rock up at a campsite late at night and not have to erect a tent. I don't have to worry when it rains. I can sleep parked on the side of the road. Plus I can get away with not paying for campsites.

The best thing for me is I get a good nights sleep what ever the weather.

I plan to update this Blog with my tips and tools of having a camper car and about my trips. They will be mainly surf based trips but others as well. Off to a wedding next weekend and we are staying the night in a field. Camper Car is going to be in its element! Can't wait.
